The Bathroom in Progress
We have officially begun our first major project (you know, more than painting) at our new house. We are adding a basement bathroom! Brennan is extremely appreciative and excited about HIS new bathroom. Honestly, it really is HIS bathroom. His bedroom is downstairs and the most convincing reason to add this bathroom is because it is hard for a potty training kid to make it all the way upstairs to the bathroom in the dark in the middle of the night in time!
As of now, we have the back cement block wall painted with waterproof paint, most the the walls built, the toilet purchased, and a little bit of pluming prep work started. It's going good! On the agenda for today- picking up a few more supplies including a shower and vanity. I can't wait to get to the point of sheet rocking. That is something that I'm capable of doing all on my own.

The last couple of months- a recap.
I hate to admit it, but since moving blogging has taken a backseat to nearly everything else going on in our lives. We have been BUSY and I just haven't been able to make time for everything. So, here's what's changed recently:
-My computer's freezing issue got worse. After hours with tech support, I finally got to send it in for an 'under warranty' fix. I got it back and it is now happy as can be with its new processor. :)
-I got a job! I am an independent contractor working from home. I am reviewing training documents sent in by contractors. My oldest sister hooked me up with this job and I'm so happy about it. Thanks Holly!
-My Grandpa passed away. He hadn't been doing well over the last few months, so this was a time that it really was a blessing. It wasn't a fun time for us all, but it seems that everyone is starting to get back to normal.
-We are expecting 3, yes THREE new nieces or nephews this Summer/Fall! We know that 2 are girls and are waiting to find out about the third.... I think it will be another girl, but the Mom says it will be a boy, so we'll see!
-We fought the flu bug in our household again... this time with more carpet than we were used to :/.
-My best friend had her second baby girl. A little Sweetie Pie named Harper.
-We noticed and (hopefully) solved a little mouse situation in our home. ICKY!
-We had a HUGE snowstorm on MAY 2nd!!! Places in our area got anywhere from 8-18 inches of super heavy snow. Trees came down, power was out, and the roads were awful!
-We had the 100 mile garage sale weekend DURING that huge snowstorm. Cities and towns along a 100 mile stretch all have a bunch of sales. It was cold and wet, but I still got some good deals.
-Brennan spotted a beautiful Great Horned Owl in our pine tree! So cool.

Matching Spring Pedicures!
It has finally warmed up (at least for now) here in Minnesota. Bryleigh and I were in the mood for some Spring prettiness. Here is what we came up with... Matching pedicures!

Spring is Coming and it is Full of Surprises!
As many of you know, we moved into a new house at the very end of February. Then, and up until now everything has been snow covered.... VERY snow covered. Now that the snow is finally melting away we are making some very fun discoveries around our house!
So far, we've been able to see that there are landscaping pavers and mulch around most of the trees and shrubs, giving me a lot of space to plant a few more flowers. We've discovered many plant tags so now we know a few of the species we have to look forward to. The mini garden that we thought was only used for tomatoes has melted enough to reveal a lot of strawberry plants! I'm excited for strawberries! We can see where all of our patio lights are and how the front patio is set up. This is so fun! Everyday we are peering out the windows and exploring the yard for new discoveries!
Trust me. You'll all be bombarded with pictures when the flowers bloom!
And on a side note, Bryleigh is starting to say some words. "Peek-a-boo" is one of her favorites and it is so adorable!

Bryleigh turned One! Cake Smash Photo Shoot!
Well, Little Miss Bryleigh is already a year old! That time has sure flown! I decided to do something for her first birthday that I've always wanted to do- a good old fashioned cake smash! For Bry, it was more a of 'cake barely-touch', but we got some cute shots anyway. Here are a few of my favorite photos I got!
